Planning a Week That Already Has Shifts

Editing published shifts alongside your new drafts

Open the plan page for a week that already has published shifts, and select the location. The existing shifts show up right away. Choose Start fresh in the start dialog. The existing shifts stay on the calendar, since starting fresh only clears the draft. Publish schedule stays disabled until you change something. Clicking an existing shift opens the same edit dialog as a draft shift — editing its end time and saving updates it on the calendar. Once you edit a shift, Publish schedule is enabled. Deleting the other existing shift from its edit dialog removes it from the calendar. Adding a brand-new draft shift for the same week works alongside the edit and delete above. Publishing saves all three changes, the edit, the delete and the new shift, and takes you to that week's schedule. If you open that week's plan page again, the same shifts are there, and you can keep editing them.
